  • Man Mandir Ghat Overview

    Man Mandir Ghat is a beautiful Ghat located in the north of Dashashwamedh Ghat. It is also known as Someshwar Ghat, a big Shiv Ling of Lord Someshwar, a form of Lord Shiva in Someshwar Temple has been made on this Ghat. Maharaja Man Singh of Amer constructed this Ghat and a beautiful palace adjacent to the Ghat in 1600. The Ghat, various temples on the Ghat as Rameshwara Temple, Sthuladanta Vinayak Temple, Someshwar Temple, the artistic palace and an observatory on the roof of the palace all have become attractions for tourists. Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh of Amer had built five astrological observatories; one of them is here on the top of the palace which adds cultural significance of the city.
